The Mesquite Local News has a great editorial on why Gold Butte and the Gold Butte Festival needs YOUR support, along with some details on the fun happening this weekend in beautiful Mesquite!

There’s lots going on starting tomorrow at 3 p.m. There will be two major locations for events. A street fair with more than 75 vendors is to be held on South Yucca Street, adjacent to Mesquite City Hall. And several events are slated for the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery, 15 W. Mesquite Blvd., across the street from the main festival location. There will be 5K and half marathon races, as part of the event. More than 50 runners have signed up and late registration is to be held tomorrow from 3 p.m. until 7 o’clock that evening and on Saturday, 7 a.m. until the races start at 8.
